A fabric filter dust collector,also commonly known as a baghouse or bag filter,is a high-efficiency dry dust removal equipment widely used in industrial production.It utilizes porous fabric filter bags as the core filtering medium to separate solid particles from dust-laden gas through physical filtration,achieving an extremely high dust removal efficiency of 90%to 90%.The emission concentration of dust can be stably controlled below 10 mg/m³,which fully meets the strict environmental protection emission standards of various industries.

Working Principle

The operation of a fabric filter dust collector mainly consists of three consecutive stages:filtration,cleaning,and ash discharge,forming a continuous and stable dust removal cycle.

1.Filtration(Dust Capture):When dust-laden gas enters the collector from the air inlet,large-particle dust falls directly into the hopper due to gravity.Fine dust particles follow the air flow into the middle box,where they are intercepted by the outer surface of the filter bags.Over time,a thin layer of dust,called the"dust cake",is formed on the surface of the filter bags.This dust cake further improves the filtration efficiency for fine dust,ensuring that the purified gas meets the emission requirements.

2.Cleaning(Filter Bag Regeneration):As the dust cake thickens,the resistance of the filter system increases.When the resistance reaches the preset value,the cleaning system is automatically activated.The most widely used cleaning method is pulse jet cleaning:high-pressure compressed air(0.3–0.5 MPa)is instantly injected into the filter bags through the pulse valve and injection pipe,causing the filter bags to expand and vibrate violently.This vibration makes the dust cake fall off the surface of the filter bags and into the hopper.

3.Ash Discharge:The dust accumulated in the hopper is regularly discharged through ash discharge devices such as star dischargers or screw conveyors,completing the entire dust removal cycle.

Core Structure

The fabric filter dust collector is composed of four core components,each of which plays a vital role in ensuring stable and efficient operation:

-Filter Bags:The core filtering element,whose performance directly determines the dust removal effect and service life.Common materials include polyester(PET,maximum operating temperature≤130℃),PPS(≤180℃),Nomex(aramid,≤200℃),and PTFE(≤260℃),which can be selected according to the temperature,humidity,and corrosiveness of the dust-laden gas.

-Box Body:Divided into three parts:upper box(clean air chamber),middle box(filter chamber),and lower box(hopper).The upper box is used to collect purified gas,the middle box is where the filter bags are installed for filtration,and the lower box is used to store the collected dust.

-Cleaning System:Including pulse valves,air bags,injection pipes,and PLC controllers.The PLC controller realizes automatic control of the cleaning cycle and time,ensuring timely and effective cleaning of the filter bags without affecting the normal filtration operation.

-Ash Discharge Device:Mainly composed of a hopper,star discharger,and screw conveyor.It is responsible for discharging the dust collected in the hopper in a timely manner to prevent dust accumulation from affecting the operation of the equipment.

Common Types(By Cleaning Method)

-Pulse Jet Type:The most widely used type in industrial applications.It adopts online cleaning,which means cleaning can be carried out while the equipment is in operation,with high cleaning efficiency and the ability to handle large air volume.It is suitable for most industrial dust removal scenarios.

-Reverse Air Type:Uses low-pressure and large-flow reverse air to clean the filter bags.It is suitable for working conditions with high temperature and high dust concentration,and has good adaptability to harsh environments.

-Mechanical Shaker Type:Relies on mechanical vibration to remove dust from the filter bags.It has a simple structure,low cost,and is suitable for small-scale equipment and working conditions with low dust concentration.

Performance Characteristics

-High Efficiency:It has excellent filtering effect on fine dust with a particle size of 0.3–10μm,and the dust removal efficiency can reach more than 90%,ensuring stable compliance with emission standards.

-Strong Adaptability:By selecting different filter bag materials,it can handle dust-laden gas with high temperature,high humidity,and corrosiveness,and is applicable to various industrial fields.

-Dry Operation:No wastewater is generated during the operation process,which avoids secondary pollution and is convenient for the recovery and reuse of dust(such as cement,coal powder,etc.),realizing resource utilization.

-Easy Maintenance:The equipment has few mechanical components,the filter bags are easy to replace,and the operation is stable,which can reduce the maintenance cost and downtime.
