Silo Top Bag Filter
The Silo Top Bag Filter is a specialized,high-efficiency dry-type dust removal device designed specifically for dust collection at the top of silos,bunkers,or hoppers in industrial production.It is widely used to control dust emissions generated during material loading,unloading,and storage processes,effectively preventing air pollution and material waste,while ensuring compliance with strict environmental protection standards.
Structurally,the Silo Top Bag Filter is compact and space-saving,tailored to fit the limited installation space on silo tops.Its key components include a sealed casing(integrated with the silo top),filter bags(selected from polyester,PTFE,or glass fiber materials based on material properties),metal filter cages,a pulse jet cleaning system,an air inlet(directly connected to the silo),an air outlet,and a small-sized dust hopper with a discharge valve.The pulse jet system,consisting of electromagnetic pulse valves,a mini compressed air tank,spray pipes,and a PLC control system,is the core to ensure efficient and continuous dust cleaning.
The working principle of the Silo Top Bag Filter is targeted and efficient.When materials are loaded into the silo or discharged from it,dusty gas is generated and rises to the silo top,entering the filter directly through the air inlet.Large-particle dust settles into the small dust hopper by gravity initially.The remaining fine dust is intercepted by the filter bags—dust particles adhere to the outer surface of the bags,while clean gas passes through the bag fabric and is discharged into the atmosphere through the air outlet,ensuring no dust leakage.
As dust accumulates on the filter bags,the equipment’s air resistance increases.When the resistance reaches a preset value,the PLC control system automatically triggers the pulse jet cleaning process.High-pressure compressed air(0.4–0.6 MPa)is instantly sprayed into the filter bags through the nozzles,causing the bags to expand rapidly and vibrate strongly.This vibration shakes off the dust layer attached to the bag surface,which falls into the dust hopper and is discharged regularly through the discharge valve,either back into the silo or collected for reuse.
This specialized filter boasts outstanding performance:its dust removal efficiency reaches over 90%,with the outlet dust concentration below 5 mg/Nm³,meeting strict environmental emission requirements.It can handle inlet dust concentrations up to 1000 g/Nm³and operating temperatures ranging from-10°C to 200°C,adapting to different material storage scenarios(such as cement,grain,coal,and chemical raw materials).Its compact design saves installation space,and the automatic PLC control reduces manual operation,ensuring stable and low-maintenance operation.
