1. Working Principle

Tangential Air Inlet: Waste gas enters the cylindrical tower tangentially at high velocity (15–25 m/s), forming a strong spiral vortex flow.
Centrifugal Separation: Denser particles, dust, or oil droplets are thrown outward to the tower wall by centrifugal force, losing momentum and sliding down.
Spray Washing (Wet Cyclone): Nozzles at the top inject atomized liquid (water or neutralizing solution). The liquid film on the wall traps particles, while soluble pollutants (e.g., SO₂, HCl, NH₃) react chemically with the liquid.
Mist Removal & Discharge: Purified gas passes through a mist eliminator to remove water droplets before exiting the top; sludge and wastewater are collected at the bottom for treatment.
