Made from high-performance fibrous materials,dust collector bags are typically manufactured into cylindrical tubes with standard diameters of 130–300 mm and lengths of 2–9 meters,supported by metal cages to maintain shape during operation.Common materials include polyester(PET)for general low-temperature conditions(≤120°C),polyphenylene sulfide(PPS)for high-temperature and corrosive flue gas(≤190°C),polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)for extreme chemical and thermal environments,and fiberglass for ultra-high-temperature applications up to 260°C.These materials are processed via weaving or needle-punching to form a porous,durable medium with high tensile strength,abrasion resistance,and chemical stability.

The working principle relies on depth filtration and surface filtration.When dust-laden gas flows through the bag,coarse particles are intercepted on the outer surface,while fine particles(as small as 1 micron)are trapped within the fiber pores.A porous"dust cake"gradually forms on the bag surface,which further improves filtration precision by capturing submicron particles.Clean air penetrates the bag and is discharged,while the dust cake is periodically removed by pulse-jet,reverse-air,or mechanical shaking systems to prevent clogging and maintain continuous efficiency.
