An electromagnetic pulse valve(EMP valve),also called a diaphragm pulse valve,is a fast-acting solenoid-controlled valve designed to release high-pressure compressed air in instant,short bursts(pulses).It serves as the core executive component in pulse-jet dust removal systems,acting as a"switch"for compressed air to clean filter bags/cartridges in baghouses.

1.Structure

It mainly consists of three core parts:

Electromagnetic pilot operator:Includes a solenoid coil,armature,and spring,receiving electrical signals to control pilot action.

Diaphragm:A flexible rubber membrane dividing the valve into front and rear air cavities;it controls the main air passage opening/closing via pressure difference.

Valve body:Usually aluminum alloy or stainless steel,with inlet/outlet ports for compressed air connection.

2.Working Principle

Closed State(No Signal)

Compressed air enters the rear cavity through a small orifice.The rear cavity pressure presses the diaphragm tightly against the outlet,keeping the valve closed.

Opening(Energized)

When a pulse electrical signal arrives,the solenoid coil generates a magnetic field to pull the armature up,opening the rear cavity’s discharge port.The rear cavity pressure drops instantly,and front cavity air pressure pushes the diaphragm up,opening the main outlet.A high-pressure air pulse is released for dust cleaning.

Reset(Signal Disappears)

When the signal cuts off,the spring resets the armature,closing the discharge port.Compressed air refills the rear cavity through the orifice.Pressure balance is restored,and the diaphragm closes the outlet—ready for the next pulse.

3.Main Types

Classified by inlet/outlet angle and installation style:

Right-angle type:Inlet and outlet at 90°;working pressure 0.4–0.6 MPa;common for standard baghouses.

Straight-through type:Inlet and outlet at 180°;working pressure 0.4–0.6 MPa;for inline installation.

Submerged type:Inlet submerged in the air bag;working pressure 0.2–0.6 MPa;lower pressure loss,ideal for large dust collectors.

4.Key Advantages
