A Pulse Jet Solenoid Valve(also known as a pulse diaphragm valve)is a high‑speed,solenoid‑operated 2/2‑way normally closed valve that releases short,sharp pulses of compressed air to clean filter elements in dust collectors.It is the core component of pulse‑jet cleaning systems,often called the“heart”of baghouses.

1.Core Construction

Solenoid Pilot:Coil,armature,and spring;converts electrical pulses into mechanical motion.

Diaphragm Assembly:Rubber diaphragm divides the valve into front(inlet)and rear(control)chambers;controls main airflow via pressure difference.

Valve Body:Aluminum alloy or stainless steel;available in right‑angle,straight‑through,and submerged styles.

Ports:Sizes from 3/4”to 3”;connections:NPT,BSP,or quick‑mount clamp.

2.Working Principle(3‑Stage Cycle)

Closed(De‑energized)

Compressed air enters the rear chamber through a small orifice.Rear chamber pressure pushes the diaphragm against the outlet;valve remains closed.

Pulse Open(Energized)

An electrical pulse energizes the solenoid,lifting the armature and opening the rear chamber’s exhaust port.Rear pressure drops instantly;inlet air pressure lifts the diaphragm,releasing a high‑pressure air pulse for cleaning.

Reset(Signal Off)

The spring resets the armature,closing the exhaust port.Air refills the rear chamber,balancing pressure;the diaphragm closes the outlet,ready for the next cycle.

Total cycle time:typically 20–50 ms,enabling high‑frequency pulsing.

3.Main Types

Right‑Angle:90°inlet/outlet;standard for baghouses;0.4–0.6 MPa.

Straight‑Through:180°inlet/outlet;inline installation;0.4–0.6 MPa.

Submerged:Inlet inside the air manifold;lower pressure loss;ideal for large collectors;0.2–0.6 MPa.
