1.Overview

A shaft screw conveyor(also called a shafted screw conveyor)is a continuous bulk material handling device featuring a central solid/tubular shaft with helical screw flights welded around it,enclosed in a U‑trough or tubular housing.It rotates to move dry,free‑flowing powders,granules,and small lumps horizontally or at an incline,widely used in chemical,food,grain,cement,and mining industries.

2.Structure&Working Principle

Main Components:Drive unit(motor+gearbox),central shaft,screw flights,trough/housing,inlet/outlet chutes,and end bearings.

Working Principle:The motor drives the central shaft to rotate;the spiral flights push materials forward via friction between the casing and material,preventing rotation with the screw.

Design Types:U‑trough(common for horizontal/inclined use)and tubular(for sealed,dust‑free conveyance).
